Time with My Family

I really do have a great family; they are all truly good people. I hadn't seen any of them for more than a year, so it's been great talking to them and enjoying everyone's company. We looked at family pictures and remembered those who have past, and I was reminded once again of the incredible power of a picture, how it captures a moment forever. I could spend hours looking at some of them.

I got drunk Friday night, along with the other guys (our Irish heritage is promient). This might have been the first time I've ever done shots with my uncles, but it certainly won't be the last. That is, assuming they're willing to get drunk with me again. Apparently some people incurred very minor injuries from me while I was inebriated, but all is fine now.

Then we spent much of today watching football (go, Panthers!) while the girls went to the mall. It might not sound like a wonderful way to spend a day, but it's times like this that I'll never forget, and I'll always cherish.

Tomorrow some of them will return to Connecticut and others will go back to Florida, but I'm sure it won't be another year and a half before I see them again.

I hope everyone else spent a great weekend enjoying life!
